Speech Language Therapy

Let’s make a difference in your loved one’s life together.

South Florida Speech Solutions (SFSS) was founded by Gina Grandchamp in August 2008 with the goal to help make a difference in the lives of children with a speech disorder and guide their parents through this journey. SFSS also offers aid in the speech rehabilitation of adults who have suffered an unfortunate health challenge that affected their speech and language functioning.

Our number one message to our patients, parents, and caregivers is this: “You’re not alone.” Not only are we there for them, but there is also a community of people just like them going through this journey. The most important thing to keep in mind is that patience and a positive mindset must become their superpowers. The journey can sometimes be longer than we wished for, but it’s a journey with a destination which we’ll do our best to get you and your loved ones to.

A Speech Language Pathologist, also referred to as SLP or Speech Language Therapist, is crucial to the development of children, especially in the years before starting school and throughout elementary/grade school. The earlier we can recognize the signs and get professional support, the higher the child’s chances at achieving their full potential. Wondering what the right path to take is? Unsure if your child needs help with his/her development? At South Florida Speech Solutions we offer in-person or virtual free screenings that can help answer those initial questions and more. Schedule your appointment today.

If we make sure all children are ready to learn when they get to school, then every child can have the same hope for the future.
— Bill Gates, Gates Foundation

We believe that there is always a reason whenever a child says “I hate school”. More often than not, the reason is tied to a fine motor skill that just needs help being developed. Gina and her team of professional SLPs can help identify the issue and provide you with the best recommendation for you and your child. No child or situation is the same, therefore their therapy should be personalized to their needs and designed to reach the agreed upon goals. Acting quickly and as early as possible can have a positive impact in the patient’s adult life.

As a wife and mother of two, Gina understands the challenges and joy that come with parenthood. She has dedicated most of her career to helping parents identify and treat their child’s speech disorders. From developmental delays, such as speech and language development, phonological disorders, articulation disorders, stuttering, tongue tied, sensory processing, speech delay, and even Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Speech Therapy for Adults

Helping adults who have suffered a traumatic experience that has affected their ability to communicate fluently is a passion point for SFSS. Gina treats adults recuperating from a stroke, suffering from Dysphagia (feeding and swallowing disorder), Aphasia (loss of ability to understand or express speech, caused by brain damage), and even those looking for accent reduction therapy sessions.

Complimentary Screenings

One of Gina’s goals when opening her business in 2008 was to offer complimentary screenings to everyone, regardless of their financial well-being. She believes every child and adult deserves the right to know if they need professional help to achieve their full potential. Gina screens and even offers insurance advice to those who need it. Book your free screening today by emailing us at info@southflspeech.com.

ONLINE SPEECH THERAPY

Also known as telepractice, teletherapy, and virtual speech therapy - has allowed Gina to take her practice online in order to keep her patients safe during the Covid-19 global pandemic. This form of therapy has proven to eliminate transportation concerns and improve attendance. Telepractice has proven to be just as good and in some cases even better than in-person treatment.
